I was told by an NCP sales rep, that the WGRD NCP client is limited to work only with WGRD appliances. So there is a difference (as well as in the price) with the retail version od NCP's client.

Did you run the installer in win 7 compatibility mode? after that, you will need to modify the program icon to run in Win 7 compatibility mode as well.
